The bachelor of science in Software Engineering program blends engineering, computing, project leadership and technology education. The program is a unique project-driven curriculum designed to take advantage of the many spaces to create and innovate at ASU and prepare students to solve real-world challenges encountered in the workplace.
As a student in the software engineering program, you will work on team-based software development projects to conceptualize and realize software systems. You can select Web applications, mobile computing, embedded systems, or graphics and video game development as a focus area. You will work closely with faculty and academic specialists to select from a variety of classes to fulfill your own academic and personal goals.
The Software Engineering major on the Polytechnic campus is eligible for the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program. Students from Western states, who select this major and campus, may be eligible for reduced nonresident tuition. An optional accelerated program offers high-achieving students an opportunity to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree within five years.
